About me
I have dedicated a significant portion of my life to the art of drawing. During my school years, I received formal training in a classical fine-art style, focusing on honing my skills in color theory, composition, and capturing the nuances of the human figure. Over time, I've seamlessly integrated this knowledge into the realm of illustrations.
My artistic inspiration predominantly stems from my immediate environment, with my children and surroundings serving as the primary subjects for my drawings and stories. Although my depictions may not always be direct representations, they consistently draw from the essence of the world around me.
While growing up, the suburbs of Buffalo, NY, were my home until the conclusion of high school, when I relocated to the NC Triad. I hold a bachelor's degree in arts management from Appalachian State University, complemented by two master's degrees in art history and museum studies from Syracuse University. My journey in the world of art has been a mix of independent study and formal education, encompassing classes, camps, and ongoing exploration since my early childhood.
My professional trajectory led me into an arts management role, where I discovered the power of bringing art to my community. Simultaneously, I've persistently pursued my passion for crafting and creating, producing images and items that provide me with personal fulfillment and enduring joy.
